A Man's Compliment
Your eyes are soft and beautiful in style and grace, trying times and long-life struggles,
Loving eyes and smiles upon your aging face, full of realism and arms of snuggle,
You're not inferior to others but superior in mind
You're not always anxious like a syncopated jumping beat
Your heart is young, old, white, black, curious, tempered, and sometimes kind,
Your personality and mood makes my life unpredictably sweet,
Setting my soul and mind on fire, let your spirit dissolve with the contours of my heart,
I have you for a lifetime every hour and at times you make think you're just for hire,
But take my hand as like a picture fitting perfect into our Creator's plan,
There is a saying that man is the glory in the image of his Creator,
Yet a man's glory is his woman, you are taken from me and you belong to me,
Yet as a man I need your womb to be born into this world
You are special in your own mix of love and life,
In honor, respect, power, and love, I say to you that my love for you holds true,
You are my compliment and I couldn't imagine my life without you!
A Woman's Compliment
I bear your soul, I eat your eat your essence of love, I caress your brow and forehead,
I bear your children, I caress your heart and envelope your love from above,
I mix with you and you mix with me, I understand your flight and destiny
I hurt when you hurt and I cry your tears for you, Oh, how much I adore you!
What would this life be without you in your proper place?
In my life, on this earth, standing by my side while I give birth to your seed our seed,
And if we have no seed I give birth to our hopes and dreams,
You can't live without me and I can't live without you,
We could try but we would be foolish to live life alone without each other,
To bring each other joy and help one another
You are my compliment and no other could take your place,
I bear your soul in a mixing pot and I eat your bread whether it's cold or hot
I share your bed and we share each other, we're the best we’ve ever had
