Dreams Perishing Down the River

How can you let your dreams die? When you possess the power to make them come true!
How can you talk the sounds of blessed hope? When you ignore the lying truth in heart!
The truth can set you free my friend; the truth can push your dreams to surface,
While everyone else is paddling down the stream for a better tomorrow,
Your dreams are perishing down the river in your sorrows,
Don't let your dreams perish, push them forward my friend,
Don't let your dreams perish, they have been in your heart for a long time,
Don't let your dreams perish by just staying afloat,
Don't let your dreams perish my friend, Get off the boat!

Rain

Let the rain of life flow off you like water,
Not taking with it your smiles of love and kindness,
Only your debris of unwanted sadness and shyness,
Replenishing your life is the only thing you need,
The rain in your life is essential to the flow of your soul,
Without it you would never know the sun comes out tomorrow,
Let the rain of your life flow off you like water,
Grab the sun and say good-bye to your sorrows,
And if your life is picture perfect,
Be thankful for the sunshine,
But in order to really appreciate life,
Pray for some rain!
